If this sounds like home

You’ve tried so much already. Some weeks it still feels like nothing sticks.

My child gets overwhelmed by little things.

Small moments turn into big ones. You can see the storm coming — and you wish you had one more way to help them ride it out.

They’ve lost confidence — and I’ve run out of ideas.

The spark dimmed somewhere. They hold back, hang back, count themselves out. You just want them to feel capable again.

I don’t want therapy-mode. I want them to just feel okay again.

Not another waiting room or worksheet. Somewhere they can breathe, play, and quietly remember who they are.

The promise

A calmer, more confident, more connected kid — in weeks, not years.

Your child doesn’t need to be “fixed.” They need a place where they feel safe enough to be brave. Time with our gentle horses gives them exactly that — and tools they take home to school, bedtime, and the hard moments in between.

Horses are honest mirrors. To lead a calm, 1,000-pound animal, a child has to regulate their own energy first. So calm, confidence, boundaries, and connection get practiced in the body — through play, not a clinic.

How it works

Three gentle steps — from first hello to lasting change.

No pressure, no riding required. Start small, see how it lands, then keep what works.

The Discovery Session

A relaxed 60–90 minute first visit. Your child meets the herd, tries one connection activity, and you get a warm debrief. A no-pressure way to see how they light up.

The Grounded Kids Program

Six weekly horse-connection sessions built around your child’s growth focus — plus parent progress notes and a take-home toolkit. This is where calm and confidence become a habit.

Keep growing with The Herd

One ranch visit a week to keep the momentum going — locked member rate, first pick of slots, and a community of kids and families who get it. Fair, month-to-month.

Plot twist

This isn’t riding lessons.

We honestly don’t care if your child ever rides. We care about the moment a nervous kid realizes a 1,000-pound horse trusts them — and they start trusting themselves.

  • The focus is the mind & heart — calm, confidence, and connection, not stirrups and posture.
  • It’s play, not a clinic. Grooming, leading, breathing, listening — tools they can use anywhere.
  • They leave standing a little taller — and you see it on the walk back to the car.

We go weekly and look forward to it every time. My daughter learned how to care for a horse — and how to control her body and mind.

She wouldn’t speak up at school. Watching her quietly lead a horse around the arena changed something in her.

He leaves lighter every single time. It’s the one hour a week where the screens are off and he’s fully himself.

Safe hands, gentle horses

Hi, I’m Christal.

I started Healthy Mind & Horse Time because I’ve seen what an hour with a horse can do for a kid who feels like too much, or not enough. Drawing on Natural Lifemanship and the idea of horses as honest mirrors, every session is calm, child-led, and built on safety first.

Your child is always supervised, the horses are chosen for their gentle temperament, and we move entirely at your child’s pace — never pushed, always met where they are.

Reset with Horses

You spend your days holding it all together. One quiet hour with a horse can help you exhale, reset, and remember yourself — no riding, no experience, just presence.
